1. For the price, this is a good fan so far. Its not exactly quiet, but its a lot quieter than the worn out hydrofarms fan it replaced. The mount is pretty sturdy, although its a bit tricky to get mounted because the bolt locations can be hard to get to. Its very much a step up from the cheap L-brackets that come with a lot of fans. I update reviews constantly, so if there are any problems, Ill be back.
2. These fans are honestly the best. I have 4 of them. I use them to exhaust my laser engravers. TOP NOTCH. No smell or fumes lingering at all.
3. I'm using this as the exhaust fan for a 100-watt CO2 laser cutter and it works extremely well. My exhaust line is very short, about three feet,
and the fan is completely exposed, sitting just above and behind the laser. The noise level is surprisingly low for the kind of air flow provided. I was worried my neighbor would be upset about the noise as it exhausts right beside his house but it can't be heard from his driveway, much less inside his house. I can carry on a normal conversation while standing at the laser (approx 3 feet from the fan) with it running.
