This handy listening tool features an easy to operate, hand sized unit with a pair of diagnostic tips for both pinpoint detection as well as for performing diagnosis in real driving conditions. Supersensitive, this tool allows a user to quickly pinpoint errant sounds and the locations of worn bearings and bushings, noisy valves and lifters, broken or worn gear teeth, faulty fuel injectors, wind or air leaks, and other annoying squeaks and rattles. A pair of stereo sound ear bud style headphones are included to provide high quality audio with minimal distortion so you can focus on listening for noises, not filtering out background sounds. The flexible gooseneck shaft allows the stethoscope probe to reach deep into automotive engine compartment recesses and around obstructions with ease. The microphone itself is non-conductive and a rubber boot insulates the solid aluminum probe to help prevent damage to delicate electronic components. A sensor clamp equipped with a piezoelectric microphone can be placed almost any where on a vehicle and then have the attached 15-foot cable run to the passenger compartment for easy performance of road tests.
