My father was a collector of a lot of different things. And he had been collecting since the early 50s. He has sadly passed recently. I am selling some things now as I go through them. One of his collections is a huge collection of antique toy trains. Most in standard gauge, pre war .. I kept about 50 cars for myself, I sent over 150 to an auction house and the rest I will be selling here. I “ think” theyre all Lionel. Some could be Ives. I know one of the red hopper cars seems to be repainted. The others look original IMPORTANT. I really can’t tell you squat about trains. My father kept many original. He restored some and did some work on others. Other than that. I have no idea. so please , base your bid on that and the pics . I do know that they were stored on track grooved shelves . My father had a climate control system in the basement. To keep humidity down. I will be keeping many of these and selling the ones that I don’t want eventually. I WILL PACK THIS EXTREMELY WELL.
