Gibson Soapbar Pickup
So back in the 80's, if you had a Les Paul Jr, that had been carved out for humbuckers, repainted several times, head stock broken, and just generally terrorized, you kept the hardware on a shelf, and hot roded what was left. Well the rest of the guitar is gone to the wind, but I still had the original soap bar. Of course I had to paint it black during one of its incarnations, but I think I will let the new owner clean that up, his way. We show a picture of ohm on the pick up. Seems more than the body of my guitar had been altered than I had thought when I got it.
We have been enlightened sense this post by a hardware historian, that the pots are 79, the cap is 1959 or later, and that the pickup is late 50's or a rewind.
