4S – the special series of signature balalaika with twice the first string. This kind of balalaika appeared in Russia in the XVIII century and remained extremely popular for three centuries. The last models of 4-string balalaika disappeared from the factory price lists in the mid-1960s and again restored at The balalaika Manufactory after a 50-year break.
