Description

Balalaiker "
Peasant woman
" was created on the basis of real ethnographic samples of the middle of the XIX century, stored in museum collections. In the process of production by the masters of the BalaLayker Manufactory, the standard technology of assembly of the balalaika body of that era was studied and restored. Housing materials (spruce and pine) and proportions reproduce in detail historical specimens. A characteristic feature of these balalaikas is that the neck is about one and a half times as long as the tool body. Together with the diatonic scale, this brings to the familiar tangents a perceptible stream of archaic Russian sound. One of the unusual features of the instrument is the multiple resonator holes in the shape of a flower. The fluke system consists of three friction wooden pins. Such a type of pin devices is still used by folk artists.
The charm of this instrument will bring many positive emotions to connoisseurs of ancient music and just lovers of music making. In this instrument, the voice of the old peasant Russia survived.
