    Description

This listing is for an original 1964 Fender Jazzmaster harness, pickups, pickup covers, pickup screws, pots, caps, jack, etc.
Matching pot codes, pickups are dated (interestingly one is stamped and the other has a pencil date).
The under-pickguard shield is there. It's legit, all the way down to the original solder joints. Straight and ready to rock.
Also included, the pickguard these original parts are mounted to is a very carefully aged modern repro that looks great. And more importantly, is keeping everything tidy and together. The switch tip is also a lightly aged modern piece. I'm also including a set of aged pickguard screws, so this thing is essentially ready to drop into your Jazzmaster of choice. Just solder the grounds, pop on your knobs of choice (remember, the 64 has solid shaft 1meg linear pots), and you are ready to rock. The harness was originally soldered to the brass tubs in the guitar body, so you can follow suit for historical accuracy.
    A little history,
this set of pickups with harness was lifted by the original owner from their '64. I bought this harness from him for my December 59/60 Jazzmaster as it was missing the vintage pickups, and I didn't want repros in it. I've since found a set of period correct 1960 black back JM pickups, so I've pulled this whole harness out of my guitar and am selling it here to some lucky SOB. The pickups are rich, clean. Warm but sparkling & not piercing highs, with that deep low end that JMs do so well. They definitely have the IT factor that makes vintage Jazzmaster PUs so enjoyable. Drop it into old wood, and you'll be in heaven.
Be sure to look at all the photos, they are maybe the most important part of the item description.
PLEASE do ask me any questions you might have.
I'm always happy to answer them as best I can, and I'd prefer you feel confident in what you are buying from me. Look at my feedback!
After playing guitar for 30 years, I've finally started cleaning out some of my storage tubs of parts. I've accumulated so many parts. Some used. Some as-new. Be sure to take a look at my other auctions for other guitar parts.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
